However humble.../ 素晴らしきボロ研究室

職場の大幅な立て替え、引っ越しの準備段階として、古い建物の一室が我々の研究室としてあてがわれていました。大変古い建物でしたが、利点もあり、例えばロードバイクを室内に保管しておく事も出来ました。学内とはいえ、都内ですので盗難の危険を考えると鍵のかかる室内に保管できた事は大変ありがたいことでした。

時は流れ、昨年末に新研究棟が完成し、今年３月に一ヶ月かけて各研究室が引っ越ししました。立派な10階建ての研究棟には、医学部だけでなく遠方から薬学部も移転してきます。当然ですが、職員だけでなく、学生も大挙してここにやってくるわけで、常時入り口には警備員が立ちます。残念ながらロードバイクを持ち込む隙もなければ、保管するスペースもないようです。

あらたな保管場所を探さなければジテツーは続けられそうもありません。

   The time has come.  It was an old humble lab in one of the oldest building in the University campus.  Since the building was to be destructed, nobody blamed on me for taking bicycle inside the building, inside the lab.  However humble, it was such a comfortable lab.

   The end of 2011, new building was built up and all the labs moved to new building.  It is a beautiful building with shiny lobby and entrance.  No more space to place my road bike inside the lab.  No chance to bring inside the building any more.

   I need to find another place for road bike parking space around the campus.
