しかし、実際にBromptonに乗って街の中を走っていると、必ずやロードバイクが目にとまります。後ろからスーッと追い越していくこともあれば、信号待ちの前を横切っていく場合もあり、対向車線を走り抜けていく場合もあります。そんなロードバイクを見ているだけで、私の心が奪われてしまっていることに気づくのです。
やはりあの走りは、Bromptonがかなり頑張ってみても到達し得ない領域です。何よりそのフォルムが美しい。Bromptonの機能美は他の追従を許さないレベルであると私は信じて止みませんが、ロードバイクの自転車としての美しさも、ロードバイクに乗っている人のシルエットもやはり美しいのです。
先立つお金もないのですが、それほど遠くない将来に私がロードバイクに手を出すのではないか、そんな思いが日に日に強くなっているのです。
I like Brompton very much and there is no other bikes I can commute with like I mentioned before. But as I have seen many cross bikes on the streets, I can not stop myself from being attracted by them. I mean they attract me all the time.
I have to make money in advance to buy a cross bike. But I can feel it is not long before I buy a cross bike.

Cross bikes have unique features that make them bullet-proof (so to speak) and suitable for many road conditions. If I did not have touring bikes, I would have considered a cross. Another option is a Randonnuering bike with 650B tires. Have you considered them also?
